Congratulations to synchro diver Daniel Goodfellow and partner.

The Rio Olympics are here. And with them comes the drama, excitement, and sporting obsessions that only appear once every four years.

The latest drama in Britain is Team GB winning bronze last night in the male 10M synchronised diving. Whilst the world watched in anticipation, Goodfellow and his partner battled the elements and snatched 3rd out of the hands of the Germans.

The battle was tough.  China did not falter and the USA created waves, they were going to be hard to beat from the start.

The open air arena did not faze him. With blustery wind and everyday noises echoing from outside, Daniel showed professionalism. He dived with confidence and determination, and for his first Olympics he was impressive.

Things took a turn for the worse when Daniel fell from third to fifth and we all waited with baited breath. But taking the board again, Daniel did not falter. The synchronisation of Daniel and his partner was almost perfect. And it was the reverse 3 1/2 somersault with pike that brought the victory home.

At 19 his performance is promising. We hope the future beings many more medals and the much anticipated gold. So well done to Olympic medallist, Daniel Goodfellow and his partner – ‘the tanned fellow with the good teeth’. You did yourselves proud.

** Disclaimer: this is a parody post against the recent tabloid articles only referencing Tom Daley. Obviously both are outstanding athletes and both should enjoy their successes.

  1. I understand what you mean about then sporting obsessions, my boyfriend is like that right now! 😅
Among my favorite sports to watch are swimming and diving, but I’ve only seen the men 4×200 relay final and gymnastic final and not this synchronized diving one! 😣

    1. I love the Olympics, it is very addictive. You must watch the synchronised diving at some point it was rather dramatic. The swimming is always a heart in mouth sport for me, I love it.
